Consequentialist I am,
I realize that i tend to be some what of a consequentialist. Meaning that whenever something bad happens to me i usually realize that it was my decision that brought it on. Essay sucked because i did it at two in the morning the night before it was due. That kind of thing. I have learned however that you can only be responsible for the negativity that comes from your actions. A perfect person would have none. However, we cannot be responsible for others actions. Simply put, life sucks because mom and dad broke up. not your fault that they couldn't get along and yet it affects u. However, we can avoid most of the negativity in our lives through careful attention to every action we make. This is possibly the most difficult task that can be put to a human. We do 99% of our duties everyday without much thought. The idea here is to eliminate the sub conscious. Impossible? think again. This is what the Buddha achieved. When asked if he was a god he replied. "No, I am awake." Awake can only mean that he was aware of every single decision he made. Dont panic, im not a Buddhist. however i think that there are some very important lessons that can be learned here.

The Fight For Balance
Hello fellow bloggers,
This is my first blog ever so bare with me.
I called this blog the Fight For Balance because balance is what we all try to achieve in life. We want steady incomes, a good dependable car, a home to call ours, freedom, something to live for and the hardest of all, no stress. The way we behave in general is a great factor in achieving balance in our lives. We act so often on impulse and without forethought of the impending consequences. After much thought i came up with a list of rules to live by. Guidelines that will help achieve balance in your life:
(in no particular order)
1. The golden rule - treat others as you would like to be treated
2. everything in moderation
3. Never be unpleasant (be calm and controlled always)
4. Love unconditionally
5. Do not judge
6. Live simply ( you don't need a 70 inch flat screen tv)
7. Believe nothing ( always be a skeptic but not with an ego)
I have thought hard on this list and feel like i havent left anything out. If there is something a reader feels should be added i would love to discuss it. I would also love to discuss it if someone feels that one or more of the rules shouldn't be on there.
Enjoy
